20 June, 2021

Overall Difficulty: Easy

Experience

The Punggol Waterway PCN is a popular spot in the northeast side of Singapore for runners and cyclists living near the Waterway canal, as it is a simple and flat terrain loop that is great for a quick and easy run.

Attractions / Perks

  • Ample hydration points and restrooms along the way

  • Entire route follows the PCN; simple to navigate

  • Route conveniently starts right outside Punggol MRT and LRT

  • Route is accessible from several Punggol LRT stations

Challenges

  • Beware of cyclists as the PCN is a shared path for both pedestrians and cyclists.
Suggestion: keep left on shared paths and stay on pedestrian routes where possible

  • Usually crowded around 6pm

  • Narrow paths up and down the bridges that cut across the canal

Summary

This route is a really fun one to run, and the park is a perfect place to share a nice, active day with friends and family. There are also many amenities and playgrounds for everyone to explore after a run too.
